NCS Hospitality Board Information
The following is information about how Northern California Shambhala sangha members can assist with the influx of visitors expected for the Sakyong's visit in March.
We are directing anyone seeking or offering housing and transportation to our online Shambhala Hospitality board, http://shambhalarideshare.org/. This hospitality resource provides simple, easy and direct communication between giver and receiver, and now includes responsive help from a real person. If you'd like to offer hospitality but have difficulty navigating the board, contact Robert Bartlett at rwbartlett3@earthlink.net or call 510-967-0748.
If you can offer a guest a place to sleep and/or a ride, please post your offer at http://shambhalarideshare.org/. Please include your location, contact information, capacity for participants, and the nature of your accommodations (i.e. sofa bed, guest room with queen bed, carpeted floor with sleeping mat, etc.)
We're requesting that all visitors fly in and out of Oakland airport, in order to be nearest the Saturday and Sunday venue, and to arrive no later than 2pm on Friday, March 2 in order get to their accommodations and then to the talk in San Francisco. Many visitors will need a ride to and from the airport to their accommodations. If you can provide a visitor with a ride to and from the airport, please offer it on the hospitality board at http://shambhalarideshare.org/.
If you have general questions or suggestions for the volunteer Hospitality Team, please contact Hospitality Coordinator Marc Matheson at ncshospitality@gmail.com or call 415-935-0593. Thank you for your generosity, the virtue that produces peace –and, in this case, a place to sleep and/or a ride!
